The American Cancer Society is seeking a Senior Major Gifts professional to lead development and management of a major gifts portfolio within the assigned territory, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to secure $100k+ gifts and upgrade retention.

• Minimum degree: Bachelor’s in a related field.
• 5+ years proven track record of securing 100,000+ gifts or equivalent experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient with computers.

Responsabilités

• Develops donor strategies to secure six-figure and above, multi-year philanthropic commitments aligned with priorities.
• Partners with teams to develop funding opportunities, proposals, and solicitations.
• Builds and manages long-term relationships with a portfolio of high-impact donors and prospects through cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and stewardship.
• Serves as an ambassador for the organization’s mission and priorities, translating impact into donor engagement, presentations, and opportunities.
• Qualifies and advances donors through moves management, developing individualized strategies and maintaining a healthy pipeline.
• Collaborates across Development and organizational teams to deliver donor strategies and connect donors with giving opportunities.
• Maintains accountability for portfolio performance, fundraising goals, pipeline progression, and activity tracking.
