About The Smith

The Smith is an extremely popular casual neighborhood brasserie – in fact, several of our locations are among the Top 100 busiest restaurants in the US! The menu features bistro classics, seasonal fare, and craft cocktails. Our signature lively atmosphere makes The Smith a versatile setting for an after-work bite, drinks on the town, a birthday bash, a working lunch, a bountiful brunch, or an I-don’t-want-to-cook-tonight night.

The Position: Maitre D'

1. Greet all Smith guests by being attentive to them as soon as they walk through the door.
2. Create a welcoming environment for guests, and when appropriate, refer to guests by their names.
3. Help run Service by managing the reservation book.
4. Say yes! Always try to find ways to accommodate guest requests.
5. Guide guests to their tables with menus.
6. Manage the floor plan and pay special attention to reservations to ensure timely seating.
7. Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
8. Answer phone calls and questions concerning the menu and the restaurant.
9. Observe the entire dining experience, ensuring that every moment exceeds expectations.

The pay range for this position is an hourly range of $25- $35 per hour. The specific pay within this range depends on factors like prior employment, qualifications, and skills.
