Must-Have Requirements
- 1-2 years of maintenance or mechanical repair experience
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems
- Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to safely use hoists, cranes, and other material-handling equipment

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs on production equipment, machinery, buildings, and property. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, able to diagnose equipment problems, and comfortable using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. This position works with moderate supervision and follows established maintenance procedures and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, and other components
- Replace worn or defective parts as needed
- Dismantle machines and equipment to access and remove defective components
- Safely use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Review blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs when troubleshooting equipment
- Repair machinery and equipment using drills, saws, wrenches, hammers, and other tools
- Use precision measuring instruments and electrical or electronic testing equipment as needed
- Perform corrective maintenance and equipment repairs
- Complete maintenance and repair work on buildings and property
- Identify potential equipment problems and recommend corrective action
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow established maintenance procedures and safety requirements
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities experience
- Manufacturing or production maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with motors, belts, drives, pumps, conveyors, or other production equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules
- Willingness to learn new equipment and maintenance processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and components
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Ability to work around moving machinery and industrial equipment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and building or production environments
