UW Medical Center – Northwest in Seattle is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join its facilities team.

Responsibilities include minor maintenance and repairs, moving furniture, cleaning work areas, stocking shelves and assisting skilled trades. The position is 100% FTE, Day Shift Thursday - Monday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM, on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Plant Engineering Department at the UW Medical Center – Northwest helps UW Medicine fulfill its mission to improve the health of the public by ensuring general maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently and quickly to maintain a safe patient care environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs minor maintenance and repairs throughout the hospital


• Move furniture, cleans work areas, stocks shelves and replaces light bulbs


• Assists Senior Engineers, Carpenters, Painters and Electricians with troubleshooting and repairs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent


• 1+ years of maintenance experience


• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$25.82 hourly
