Responsibilities

• Executes daily exterior checks for debris and hazards and reports needs.
• Maintains maintenance schedules for contract items (elevator, fire/alarm, HVAC, life safety).
• Assists in work order system and communicates completion to the requester.
• Meets outside contractors and informs the Director of Operations and Maintenance Supervisor of status.
• Performs simple repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, boiler checks) and logs repairs.
• Assists with snow removal and salting for entrances during events.
• Performs ad hoc grounds maintenance not covered by landscaping.
• May receive other assignments aligned with responsibilities.

MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE

Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes dailywalkthroughfacilities toidentifyany safety concerns, housekeeping issues, and generalbuilding maintenance concerns. Maintains a checklist of building systems including HVAC and Alarm Systems.
• Complete daily exterior check for debris, hazards, etc. and reports anything that may needadditionalattention.
• Maintains overall building maintenance schedules for contract related items. This includes any annual, quarterly, semi-annual preventive maintenance checks that are performed - Elevator, fire / alarm system, HVAC, life safety equipment, etc.
• Assistsinmaintainingwork order system both at the school and parish, Addresses work orderswithin scopein a timely mannerand communicatesthe completion to therequestor.
• Meets outside contractors for repair / maintenance work for the entire campus and keeps the Director of Operations and Maintenance Supervisor informed of the status of the work.
• Performs simple repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical(such as boiler checks),andmaintainingan ongoing log of any equipment repairs or changes.
• Responsible for spot salting / shoveling of entrances around theevents scheduledforthe school and parish - depends on the timing of the snow event.
• Responsible for ad hoc maintenance of the grounds (i.e.,grass, hedges, trees, etc.) that are not included with the landscaping contract.
• May be given various other assignments and projects consistent with responsibility level and general duties as a maintenance person.
