Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker for Shenandoah National Park in Luray, Virginia. You will perform routine maintenance duties across the property and support guest experiences in a iconic national park setting.

This year-round position includes low-cost housing until 11/1/2026, weekly pay, and a benefits package with meal options and employee discounts. Training and internal mobility opportunities are available across nationwide Delaware North properties.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC & mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance/repair experience.
• Fire and boiler heat systems experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Paint, hang, and repair drywall as needed and install shelves, hooks, and closet rods.
• Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, open clogged drains, and repair leaks.
• Perform lawn maintenance, including mowing and weed removal.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and maintain the maintenance room.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Drive a company vehicle daily.

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is looking for a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team at Shenandoah National Park in Luray, Virginia. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance duties throughout the property.

Pay

$16.00 - $16.00 / hour

More about you

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC & mechanical systems
• Proficiency with hand/power tools
• Minimum of two years of previous experience in general maintenance and repair required
• Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical requirements

• Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• Standing and walking 100% of the time
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
