Position Details
- Shift: 32 hours/week; seasonal employment until November 1. Shifts may vary, including holidays and weekends, typically 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with some evenings.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; experience in grounds maintenance preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and wear steel-toed work boots.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record, not reflecting six or more demerit points within 24 months or one major violation within 36 months, as per Virginia DMV records.
- Out-of-state driving records must be obtained and presented at interview, reflecting at least three years of history, dated within 30 days of interview.
- Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, athletic field maintenance, restroom and shelter maintenance, and litter removal.
- Maintain park and school landscape beds by delivering and spreading mulch, trimming hedges, and assisting with playground maintenance.
- Assist Sheriff's workforce as needed and perform other related work.
