Job summary

The City of Valdosta is hiring a entry-level Refuse Collector to maintain clean streets and support timely waste collection along a fixed route. You will assist in operating the refuse or recycling truck and help keep vehicles and equipment in good condition.

Duties include pre- and post-trip safety inspections, adherence to safe work practices, and assisting the public with directions and information while performing essential municipal services. No prior experience is required.
