Position: Maintenance Worker
Pay rate starts at $20/hour, with increases based on years of experience. This is a full-time position.

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a leading nonprofit senior living community in South County, seeks a compassionate and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team.

Position Summary
This role involves extensive preventive and ongoing maintenance across all CRSS properties, including custodial duties. The position now also includes responsibilities for Maintenance Assistants.
Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and grounds daily for repairs and cleanliness.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on building systems and appliances, including painting, drywall, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment testing.
- Service, change filters, and clean HVAC and PTAC units.
- Assist with custodial duties when needed.
- Maintain records of work orders, supplies, and inventory.
- Oversee and escort outside contractors; conduct inspections of fire panels, elevators, and boilers.
- Maintain building and maintenance equipment, including snow removal and lawn care.
- Keep outdoor areas free of debris and well-maintained.
- Respond promptly to safety, security, and emergency requests.
- Maintain a charged cell phone for emergency contact.
- Participate in bi-annual quality projects with the maintenance supervisor.
- Keep the shop organized and maintain inventory of parts and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in custodial, service, or skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, or carpentry.
- Knowledge of trade practices and building standards.
- Ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks.
