Job summary

Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility in Sells, AZ 85634 seeks a maintenance technician to perform minor repairs and routine preventative work on TONCA property, including building and grounds.

The position requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to work flexible hours and communicate effectively. You will maintain tools and respond to emergencies, complete work orders promptly and support QAPI efforts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains tools and equipment ensuring they are in proper working condition.

Job Details

Job Location: Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility - Sells, AZ 85634, GENERAL PURPOSE: Performs minor repairs and routine preventative maintenance for building and grounds on Tohono O’odham Nursing Care Authority (TONCA) property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

In addition to performing Essential Functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions based upon the requirements of the organization.

• Maintains tools and equipment ensuring they are in proper working condition.
• Assists in maintaining landscaping when needed
• Responds to and reports all emergency situations
• Responds to and completes assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Performs other tasks may be required from time to time by the management of Archie Hendricks
• Staff is required to wear proper personal protective equipment pertaining to assigned work orders
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the Plant Operations Department
• Reports all hazardous conditions or equipment to immediate supervisor or manager
• Reports all accidents or incidents to immediate supervisor or manager within 24hrs
• Maintains culverts or drainage ditches to ensure proper drainage of water in the event of heavy rain.

• Knowledgeable in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building repair

Other

Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment due to the cyclical nature of the health care industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the facility. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1 year experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
