Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks at our California facility. You will handle doors, mechanical repairs, and drywall touch-ups during events, with a focus on keeping the site in top condition.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Certification on forklift/boom lift can be arranged after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of general maintenance experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts plumbing and carpentry repairs as necessary.
• Checks facility doors and performs repairs as necessary.
• Performs basic mechanical and maintenance repairs.
• Performs paint and drywall repairs (patching, sanding, repainting).
• Troubleshoots maintenance problems and completes repairs.
• Maintains 100% daily completion of job assignments.
• Keeps maintenance shop clean; stores tools/equipment properly.
• Notifies supervisor when equipment needs repair or supplies are low.

Job Title: MAINTENANCE Worker ||

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

HOURLY RATE: $25

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts plumbing and carpentry repairs as necessary
• Checks facility doors and performs repairs as necessary
• Provides basic mechanical and maintenance repairs as necessary
• Ability to perform paint and dry wall repairs (Including patching, sanding, and repainting)
• Troubleshoots various maintenance problems around the facility and performs repairs as necessary
• Ensures that all job assignments are completed as instructed to 100% daily
• Responsible for completion of assigned job unless released by supervisor
• Responsible for keeping the maintenance shop clean and orderly, tools and equipment is stored properly
• Notifies Supervisor if equipment needs repair or supplies are low
• Follows facility dress code and grooming standards
• Follows established safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment
• Attends to and conforms to the policies established by SMG and the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center
• Reports all damages to immediate supervisor, created or found, while performing daily responsibilities
• Provide daily and maintain the following personal hand tools – List to be provided by Supervisor & is subject to changes and or additions

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

2 Or More Years Of General Maintenance Experience Required

• Good organization skills

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

• Ability to work irregular hours, shifts that include nights, graveyard shift, weekends and holidays
• Able to operate power and hand tools
• Pass a (25 – 50 question) comprehensive test related to various maintenance tasks.

• Desirable experience in maintenance for Food & Beverage equipment.

Basic Computer Skills Are Required.

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Fork & Boom Lift Operator Certifications. Can be certified on site through Legends Global after hired.
