A leading community organization in New York City is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support their housing program. The role involves maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients, performing minor repairs, and assisting with vehicle maintenance. We offer more than 180 integrated programs across Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services, reaching over 73,000 individuals and families, including nearly 13,000 youth. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees, and over 85% of our families live in poverty.
This program provides 30 units of scattered site supportive housing for homeless individuals with mental health or substance use challenges, many with histories of cycling through the criminal justice and shelter systems. Staff provides case management and supportive services to help clients achieve independence and financial stability, including partial utility assistance.
Annual salary: $39,798. Salary offers depend on experience, education, and organizational factors.
Full-time (35 hours/week). Benefits include health and dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, and holidays.
