Job summary

Crane Schools is seeking a skilled HVAC and refrigeration technician to maintain and improve district facilities. The role focuses on ensuring comfort and safety for students and staff through efficient systems, preventive maintenance, and accurate record-keeping.

The technician will perform multi-voltage electrical repair, installation, and new construction-related tasks as part of ongoing facility upgrades and maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years previous experience as a journeyman in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Examine all HVAC and refrigeration systems of district facilities on a regular basis for working efficiency.
• Carry on a preventive maintenance schedule of all HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance repairs and parts used on all HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Provide material estimates for major repair, remodel or expansion of HVAC or refrigeration systems when requested.
• Maintain inventory of frequently used parts and materials needed for PM and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Performs multi-voltage electrical repair, installation and new construction.
• Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor.
