About the Opportunity:
This position will assist with the operation and maintenance of parking equipment and operate specialized computer maintenance equipment, program equipment as needed. Performs duties associated campus wide gate operations and ST pay stations which may include on call duties to get equipment functioning properly. duties include parking data base research and programming, electrical and mechanical repairs to equipment. Use personal computer to program this equipment when necessary in order to keep the short-term lots and gates operational. Troubleshoot and repair electronic dollar bill dispenser. Performs duties associated with fee collections of all parking pay stations, which involves handling large sums of cash. Must account for their assigned funds and perform other daily operations of parking equipment.

What you'll do:
Assist with the maintenance duties for all parking lots and facilities campus wide, including campus garages and over 100 surface parking areas. Engineer and facilitate work control such as inspect and maintains all garages and parking area equipment daily. Have knowledge of Parking equipment and software to insure seamless equipment failure across campus. Sweeps and cleans as necessary, makes minor repairs to lots, parking gates and pay station equipment as needed. Reports security violations and safety hazards to Assistant Director for additional corrective action. Operates a wide variety of maintenance equipment and machinery to keep lots and garages clean and functional. Ensure that the garages are free of debris caused by the changes in weather, to include maintaining sidewalks, steps, and entryways.
Must be able to work unsupervised and make decisions on demand. Erect signs according to Federal regulations. Reviews blueprints and specifications and provides input for maintenance activities. Must have knowledge of proper hazardous chemical disposal and storage. Removes snow from sidewalks, steps, roads and parking lots by means of trucks, tractors, power brooms and hand tools.
Receive and respond to Campus Police emergency calls in the event of a gate malfunctions either remotely or field service call. Assists Campus Police Officers as requested in the completion of enforcement activities to include towing and unlock vehicles. Aids motorists and citizens in distress by summoning help for inoperable vehicles and keys locked in vehicles.

Hours: 6am - 2 pm
