MAINTENANCE WORKER II (Multiple Positions)

Operates medium to large trucks, dump/flatbed trucks. Operates hand mowers, edgers, weed eaters, hand tools, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and concrete saws. Maintains roads, medians, and right-of-ways throughout Palm Beach County.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in laboring work providing a familiarity with landscape/road maintenance or construction.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Operating weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and/or mowers (must specify equipment used on application); working with concrete/hot mix asphalt. Also desirable: Valid Class B CDL.

NOTE: It is not necessary to submit another application for this position if you applied 1/22/24 - 7/19/24 or 11/18/24 - 12/20/24.

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: Subject to random drug testing. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Must obtain a FL Class B CDL Permit within 90 days of hire and obtain a FL Class B CDL with Air Brakes/Tanker Endorsements within 180 days of appointment. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
