Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to support floor care, cleaning, minor repairs and general upkeep.

You will handle cleaning duties, load/unload supplies, monitor equipment, and assist with seasonal grounds work. Weekend and after-hours coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months housekeeping/light maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record when specified.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including floors, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing.
• Replace light bulbs, clean vents, refill dispensers, and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Operate and use cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Load/unload furniture, supplies and equipment; assist in maintenance projects.
• Monitor inventory and report changes to supervisor; ensure walkways are safe and clear.

BASIC FUNCTION:Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, performs a variety of maintenance functions including, but not limited to, floor care, minor repairs and other work of a semi-skilled nature.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reliable, prompt attendance.Responsible for cleaning assigned areas which include floor care, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, straightening, emptying garbage, sanitizing, etc.Responsible for floor and carpet cleaning and maintenance, furniture cleaning and maintenance, utilizing supplies and equipment in skillful, efficient manner.Replaces light bulbs, clean vents, fills towel and tissue dispensers, etc.Performs a variety of tasks as assigned which may require the manual use of tools.Keeps facility walkways in safe, useful condition, plowing, shoveling, and applying de-icers as needed.Helps load/unload furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed. Assists in special maintenance projects as assigned by supervisor.Organizes and correctly utilizes all cleaning and maintenance supplies.Monitors product and equipment use. Reports inventory and any changes to supervisor.Maintains work area in clean, orderly fashion.Functions in cooperative, courteous manner with other departments at all times; all concerns are to be brought to the attention of the supervisor.Responds to staffing re-adjustments and adapts to varying assignments.Will be on weekend/after hours coverage as needed and/or assigned.In compliance with Milestone, Inc.’s philosophy and policies regarding Human Rights, immediately intervenes in behalf of the individual(s) served and reports to the appropriate agency (OIG, DCFS, IDPH) and/or supervisor.Performs other duties as assigned or directed.Handles seasonal needs in grounds care and maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding and watering if required.
