Performs maintenance service and repairs of buildings, equipment and grounds in order to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff and visitors. The responsibilities include those of general maintenance (i.e., carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing). Provides excellent customer service when working with patients, visitors and other staff members. Works under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a trade school program preferred
  • Technical degree in a facilities related field preferred
  • Two to four years general maintenance experience required
  • HVAC experience preferred
  • Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills: ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid state driver’s license, required
  • License or certification in major specialty, i.e. HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical, preferred
