Job summary

SIH is seeking a skilled healthcare facilities engineer to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on building operations, access control, and department equipment across SIH entities.

The role requires proven experience in healthcare facilities engineering, strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life-safety systems, and the ability to read technical manuals and maintenance software.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on building and plant operations systems, access control, and departmental equipment for all SIH entities assigned.

Education

High school or equivalent

Trade school certificate or building operations certification

Licenses and Certification

Health Care Physical Environment Worker Certification

Experience and Skills

Proven experience in healthcare facilities engineering field is required.

Proficient troubleshooting skills in all aspects of a healthcare facility's operation and systems: mechanical, electrical, HVAC, environmental controls, fire alarm, building automation, medical gas distribution, and other applicable healthcare utility and healthcare life safety systems.

Advanced troubleshooting skills in healthcare facility operation and systems.

Proficient in reading and understanding technical manuals and reports.

Use of work tools of various trades.

Effective interpretation and utilization of design, record, as built, and reference drawings.

Experience using maintenance management software.

Physical Activities

Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds that can be modified.

Walks and stands most of the day. Stoops and climbs frequently.

Near-visual acuity and finger dexterity are required to perform repairs on equipment.

Color discrimination is required to differentiate electrical wire colors.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$22.29 To $34.55
