City of Santa Fe Springs is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of duties across parks, streets, water and sewer systems, and City facilities. The role involves operating equipment, maintaining grounds, and supporting special events.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and about three years of related experience or training, with strong attention to safety and adaptability to field work.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of maintenance and labor duties associated with the maintenance of buildings, parks, grounds, streets, water utilities work in water line construction and maintenance or sewer line repair, cleaning and maintenance, and other City-owned areas; operates a variety of equipment as assigned. Based on the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description, this position is considered safety sensitive.

Supplemental Information
Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
