City of Waxahachie in Texas seeks an entry through journey level Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance tasks across city parks, cemetery, and sports facilities. You will operated light equipment and assist with events while ensuring safety and quality of work.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience. A valid Texas driver license is required and essential for daily duties.
Under general supervision, performs various semi-skilled maintenance and unskilled labor work related to City of Waxahachie city parks/cemetery/sports complex or other related areas. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is the entry through journey level class in the Maintenance Worker series. Employees within this class are distinguished from the Maintenance Worker II and Senior Maintenance Worker classifications by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, with no supervisory responsibility. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction, assistance or supervision as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

Physical Demands
Maintain the physical capability to perform essential job tasks and responsibilities.
