Job summary

The Village of Mokena is seeking a Maintenance Worker for the Street Department to perform maintenance on village properties, rights of way and buildings, including snow plowing during winter months, in a full-time capacity. The successful applicant will work with the street crew, respond to winter storm events, and support general maintenance tasks.

A high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), plus a valid Illinois Class B CDL and knowledge of public works maintenance are required.

Job description

The Village of Mokena is now accepting resumes for the position of Maintenance Worker in the Street Department. This is a full-time position involved with maintenance of the Villages Properties, Right of Ways and Buildings. The successful applicant will be required to have a high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, a valid Illinois Class B CDL (commercial driver’s license) is required with some degree of knowledge of Public Works Maintenance. This position involves maintenance activities in the Street Department including snow plowing duties in the winter months. This position has a starting annual salary of $66,484.23, with an hourly rate of $32.93. EEOC/ADA.
