BOWERY RESIDENTS' COMMITTEE in New York, NY, is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Facilities Technician to oversee cleaning, repairs, and preventive upkeep. You will support heating/cooling systems, manage deliveries, and assist in safety duties within a community-focused nonprofit environment.

The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical work, plus reliable English communication. Schedule includes weekend on-call coverage and emergency responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Three years experience in building maintenance; experience in the trades is required.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Hours

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm

Qualifications

Three years experience in building maintenance; experience in the trades is required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to communicate in English. Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred. Valid driver's license preferred.

  • Vaccination preferred but not required.
