Overview

Are you ready to join a forward-thinking and dynamic team? Crocs, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker 1 to support our Distribution Campus in Dayton, Ohio. This role is vital in ensuring our Material Handling Equipment and building systems operate flawlessly, enhancing uptime and efficiency. You will be an essential part of our Operations team, working together to deliver outstanding service to our end users.

This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am.

This position will be posted for internal candidates from 6/20/2025 - 6/30/2025.

What You'll Do

  • Provide maintenance support to ensure continuous operation of Material Handling Equipment and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates.
  • Perform plumbing tasks in break rooms and restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, and floor drains.
  • Maintain HVAC systems by changing filters, resetting MAUs, and servicing vent fans on building roofs.
  • Conduct electrical work and repairs on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including 24v, 48v, 110v, 277v, and 480v circuits.
  • Replace overhead lights using a 40' Boom or Scissor Lift.
  • Perform painting, drywall repair, carpet cleaning, and replacement tasks.
  • Complete welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Arc techniques on various alloys.
  • Operate shop equipment such as sheet metal brakes, band saws, and drill presses.
  • Maintain PIT equipment, install Infolink systems, lighting, and lanyards.
  • Perform equipment battery maintenance, including checking charge conditions and watering batteries.
  • Implement Lock Out Tag Out procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide contractors with access to buildings and supervise their tasks.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance activities, mechanical, or electrical work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in functional departments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating instructions, and design drawings.
  • Capacity to work safely around mechanical equipment.
  • Training in Lockout/Tagout requirements.

Preferred Skills And Abilities

  • Experience in metal fabrication, welding, and carpentry.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics for controlling issues.
  • Familiarity with control cabinets, motor starters, and PLCs.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and encoders.
  • Over 2 years of maintenance experience in a distribution center environment.
