The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking to fill a Maintenance Worker 2 position to work at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter, conveniently located along Interstate 80, west of Des Moines.
This Person Will Be Responsible For
- Operating power tools and equipment to open and close grave sites,
- Setting and maintaining headstones,
- Preparing designated areas for services,
- Snow removal
- Other general landscaping and maintenance duties.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
- Two years of full-time work experience in semi-skilled grounds keeping, maintenance, or equipment operation.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes twelve months of full-time work as a Maintenance Worker 1.
