Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair the facility in a secure setting. You will inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and repair electrical components to ensure safe operations.

The role requires 2+ years in general maintenance or construction, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver''s license. You will also supervise inmates assigned to the Maintenance Department as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Two years of maintenance or construction experience.
  • Trade school courses in maintenance/construction may substitute for experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction and building systems preferred.
  • Valid driver''s license required.
  • Minimum age: 18+.

  • Maintain/repair physical structure of facility in keeping with safe/secure operations.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Install/repair electrical apparatus of machinery/equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per plan.
  • Provide supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.

  • Maintain/repair physical structure of facility in keeping with safe/secure operations of the facility.

  • Install/repair electrical apparatus such as wiring or electronic components of machinery/equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to the preventative maintenance plan.
  • Provide proper supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
  • Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
