Description

MAINTEANCE WORKER

FULL TIME –NON EXEMPT

General Summary: Perform tasks associated with the maintenance of Thrive's buildings and grounds.

Salary $20.00 an Hour

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, structural renovations, and janitorial tasks;
  • Relocate furniture and equipment;
  • Perform routine landscaping tasks;
  • Assist in conducting fire and safety drills;
  • Provide back-up to the Sr. Maintenance Worker;
  • Provide back-up on call coverage for emergencies;
  • Review e-mail account daily for new messages.
  • Works with CAT 6
  • Works well with computers
  • Snow Plow removal

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period.
  • Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience performing tasks outlined above.
  • Basic knowledge and skill level in carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and HVAC systems which will allow for the identification and correction of problems which do not require the use of outside vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and under the pressure of constant deadlines. Basic computer literacy preferred.

Certifications, Licenses Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
