Job summary

Clark-Pleasant Community School is seeking a Maintenance Worker with electrical knowledge to support diverse building systems. You will maintain swimming pool operations, wastewater treatment, pumps, and fire safety panels while ensuring code compliance.

The role covers HVAC-related tasks, lighting and building automation, and on-site duties. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with HVAC and other maintenance certs preferred. Full-time, on-site position with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HVAC Certification is preferred.
• Maintenance certifications are preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial, mechanical and electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to bend, lift, and reach as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain swimming pool systems; obtain pool operator certification if not already held.
• Learn and perform wastewater and drinking water treatment responsibilities as needed.
• Inspect and service pumps from 1/4HP to 25HP; troubleshoot pump controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair Simplex/EST fire panels and rack systems.
• Maintain building heating/cooling loops and building automation.
• Work on lighting, low voltage to 480V controls, and indoor/outdoor electrical tasks.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotation.
• Assist with snow removal and door/lock hardware upkeep.

Essential Duties

Swimming Pool

• MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ALL PHASES OF SWIMMING POOL MAINTENANCE & REPAIR. MUST POSSESS OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN POOL OPERATOR CERTIFICATION.

WASTEWATER & DRINKING WATER TREATMENT

• MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO LEARN ALL PHASES OF WASTEWATER & DRINKING WATER TREATMENT IN THE EVENT THE LICENSE HOLDER IS ABSENT.

PUMPS

• MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO REMOVE/REPAIR/REPLACE ALL SIZES OF PUMPS FROM 1/4HP TO 25HP AND BE ABLE TO TROUBLESHOOT PUMP CONTROLS.

FIRE SYSTEMS

• MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT AND UNDERSTAND SIMPLEX/EST FIRE PANELS
• MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR RACK SYSTEMS
• MUST HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF HEATING/COOLING BUILDING LOOPS
• MUST HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF BUILDING AUTOMATION
• MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR CHILLERS/AIR HANDLERS/PACKAGED HEAT PUMPS/COOLING TOWERS ELECTRICAL
• MUST HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO WORK ON INDOOR/OUTDOOR LIGHTING, LOW VOLTAGE/120V TO 480V CONTROLS

ALL OTHER PHASES OF BUILDING MAINTENANCE (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

• SNOW REMOVAL
• DOOR & LOCK HARDWARE/GATE ACTUATORS
• WINDOWS
• WILLING TO BE IN THE EMERGENCY ON-CALL ROTATION

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Maintenance certifications preferred but not required
• HVAC Certification is preferred
• Prior mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and overall machine troubleshooting skills preferred
• Knowledge of industrial, mechanical and electrical codes, techniques and standards
• Familiarity with government regulations for industry and safe work practices dealing with machine repair
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
