Job summary

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Maintenance Worker for Tampa Bay Girls Academy in Tampa, Florida. The role covers general building maintenance, light electrical and plumbing tasks, painting, drywall, and grounds upkeep, with fleet maintenance responsibilities and timely reporting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 40-hour week with possible overtime, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record over the past three years. Background checks and TB test are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma.
• Prior building maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen and TB test.
• Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week and designated schedule with overtime.

Responsibilities

• As the Maintenance Worker, perform work orders such as general building maintenance, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, drywall repairs, painting, locks, plumbing, drains, and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain the vehicle fleet and complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

Pay:

$19 hourly, bi-weekly paid.

What you will do

As the Maintenance Worker performs work orders such as general building maintenance, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, sheetrock, adjusting locks and hardware, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, re-lighting, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, grounds maintenance, etc. Maintains the vehicle fleet. Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
