Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance associate in Skokie, IL. You will maintain lawns, clear debris, and prepare sites for interments, with duties ranging from grave digging support to marker installation.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, rake, mower, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs with assistance and push/pull up to 300 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods and work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, trim trees, and care for memorial markers.
• Assist with openings/closings for interments and setup.
• Erect and install grave markers, bronze memorials, crypt faces.
• Operate backhoe under supervision to dig graves.
• Clean and repair cemetery features and maintain equipment.
