Job summary

Laboratory Corp. Of America is seeking a dedicated Maintenance team member in San Diego, CA. The role involves scheduled and unscheduled upkeep of facilities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and furniture.

You will support lab operations by repairing general equipment, performing setups, and troubleshooting. On-call availability, teamwork and attention to detail are essential, with full-time or part-time options depending on needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
  • Repair furniture, lighting, fixtures, and small equipment; assist with lab equipment maintenance.
  • Support lab by testing and repairing general equipment; assist with setups and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate status of maintenance needs with lab team.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Maintenance team in San Diego, CA. Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 6:30pm. Overtime may be required depending on business needs. Pay Range: $30 to $32 per hour.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in building and facilities maintenance is desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of various hand and power tools.
  • Prior experience with a Building Automation System is a plus.
  • Ability to read and use operation and service manuals.
  • Strong communication, prioritization and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to multi task.
  • Availability to work on-call as needed, including after hours and on weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on various facilities systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on furniture systems, small equipment, lighting, plumbing fixtures, minor painting, furniture moves, clean-ups, and thermal comfort calls.
  • Support the lab in repairing and testing general lab equipment when necessary, performing scheduled maintenance, equipment setups, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with the lab team to discuss the status of their maintenance needs.
