Ready to take your career to new heights? The Portland International Jetport is looking for motivated, hands‑on individuals to join our team as full‑time Airport Maintenance Workers. These positions are second shift, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm. Final shift will be determined during the training period.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of airport maintenance and operations, using your skills across a variety of trades to help maintain, repair, and improve our buildings, equipment, and airfield. Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance tasks on everything from airport buildings to runways, both airside and landside.
- Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, including snowplows, loaders, and sweepers.
- Work closely with other airport divisions to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
- Conduct wildlife management to ensure safety of aircraft.
- Assist with snow and ice control operations during winter months.
- Maintain landscaping, signage, and safety areas around the airport.
- Provide specialized airport painting and related tasks.
- Collaborate on projects that have a direct impact on the traveling public.
Qualifications
- Eager to learn and stay current with FAA and airport safety regulations.
- Team player who works well with others but can also get the job done independently.
- Detail‑oriented, dependable, and safety‑focused.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and adapting to changing priorities.
- Mechanically inclined or experienced in trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or heavy‑equipment operation.

Salary & Benefits
- Labor & Trades (Grade 16A without CDL | Grade 19A with CDL).
- Starting base hourly pay rate of $25.98 /hr without CDL.
- Starting base pay rate with CDL $28.44 /hr.
- Plus weekend/2nd shift differentials and available overtime, with wage adjustments in accordance with the Labor and Trades Collective Bargaining Agreement.
