The NYC Department of Homeless Services seeks a Maintenance Worker responsible for the maintenance and repair of public buildings. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in building trades and a commitment to quality service. The role includes routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure facilities are well-maintained and functional.
CANDIDATE MUST BE PERMANENT IN THE MAINTENANCE WORKER TITLE.

The agency manages hundreds of facilities with a large team and a multi-billion-dollar budget to meet the diverse needs of New Yorkers experiencing homelessness.
The F&L division provides maintenance and repair services to city-owned facilities using in-house skilled trade-workers, maintenance contracts, and purchasing operations. Its contract portfolio oversees approximately $200+ million dedicated to building maintenance, focusing on preventive and general maintenance to prevent premature failure of building systems.
The Department of Homeless Services is recruiting for one (1) Maintenance Worker. The responsibilities include:
Hours/Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
