Job summary

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to help keep our facility safe, functional, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. You will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the building, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.

Qualifications include 1–2 years of maintenance experience; Certificates of Fitness a plus; healthcare setting experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• One to two years of maintenance experience preferred.
• G46/S95 Certificates of Fitness are a plus.
• Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and building areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance to support safe operations and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC within the scope of training and qualifications.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and promptly.
• Assist with painting, minor carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and issues requiring specialized service.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow facility safety procedures and coordinate maintenance work to minimize disruption to residents and staff.

Schedule: Full-Time | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | One weekend per month required

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Worker to help maintain a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

In this role, you will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and building areas.

• Complete preventative maintenance to support safe operations and minimize equipment downtime.

• Troubleshoot and perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs within the scope of your training and qualifications.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.

• Availability to work the scheduled hours, including one weekend per month.
