MAINTENANCE WORKER

CENTRAL PARK BOATHOUSE

This historic building, over 150 years old, originally served as a space to explore and rent rowboats. Today, it has evolved into a landmark restaurant, hosting catered events, restaurant services, and rowboat rentals for millions of visitors annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform general maintenance and repairs in areas such as plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, and carpentry.
2. Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues or potential problems.
3. Respond to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
4. Perform regular maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, landscaping, and furniture assembly.
5. Coordinate with contractors regarding repairs.
6. Perform electrical repairs and installations, such as changing light bulbs, repairing ballasts, and replacing fixtures.
7. Perform plumbing repairs, including fixing water leaks.
8. Assist with other maintenance tasks like hanging pictures, bulletin boards, and helping move furniture as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong knowledge of and ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
2. Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery.
3. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices to ensure proper venue upkeep.
4. Excellent customer service skills when addressing maintenance requests.
