Champion Home Builders, Inc. seeks a full-time Plant Maintenance Worker for the Millen, GA facility to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, pipes, and building infrastructure.

The role involves inspecting equipment, coordinating repairs with production, and ensuring safe, reliable operation; qualifications include a certificate or related experience and a commitment to a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Requires 1-year college/technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to inspect and diagnose machinery for malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions and discuss operation with supervisors.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance so production timelines are not hindered.
• Coordinate repairs to assist production in meeting deadlines.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus and related components.

Summary:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Education And/or Experience
