Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Makawao, HI, where our staff provide quality services to local youth. This maintenance role supports general upkeep and repairs on equipment and buildings, ensuring a safe, well-maintained campus.

You will assist with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, following government and management directives. This is a full-time position with 8-hour shifts and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HSD or equivalent; technical training in maintenance repair required.
• 2 years related experience required.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, electrical outlets, thermostats, breakers and/or fuses.
• Repair washers and dryers as necessary, recommend contracted assistance when on-center repair is not possible.
• Maintain and preserve all flooring and/or converting by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing and seeping.
• Perform maintenance and repair to structures and systems throughout the center.
• Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
• Install window shades or coverings and security locks.
• Supervise assigned students assigned to the maintenance department.
