Description

Employment Status: Full-Time/40 hours a week

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/ Hourly

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some weekends

Job Summary

Responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe maintenance, renovation, and upkeep of parish buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain parish grounds (mowing, leaf blowing, trash pickup, tree care, landscape maintenance)
• Use heavy and light equipment safely (mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, etc.)
• Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting
• Set up and organize campus hall and Annex meeting rooms
• Assist in quarterly parish cleanup volunteer events
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and notify the facility manager of replacements
• Coordinate safety and security procedures
• Develop and implement procedures for facility issues
• Complete Work Order Forms promptly
• Attend workshops and maintain professional memberships
• Respond to alarms, alerts, and system failures
• Provide prompt responses to requests and issues
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and codes
• Work at multiple parish properties as part of a team

Requirements

Physical Demands: Frequently stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl; occasionally sit; lift/move 25-50 pounds.

Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, chemicals, high places.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff
• Ability to work from ladders, withstand heat/cold, good coordination, lift to 50 pounds
