Job summary

Rock Springs, part of Lifepoint Health in Texas, is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support hospital facilities. You will perform maintenance and repairs to ensure safety, functionality, and cleanliness of buildings and systems, contributing to daily plant operations.

The role requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience (hospital setting preferred) and a high school diploma. You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, follow Joint Commission standards, and participate in

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience; hospital setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations on facility conditions.
  • Support the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
  • Collaborate with departments to schedule work and coordinate materials and supplies.
  • Perform maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
  • Assist with facility fire and safety inspections and implement safety protocols in coordination with Safety and Security Departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems. This role supports daily plant operations and contributes to regulatory compliance and facility improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations on facility conditions and progress of assigned tasks.
  • Support the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule work, set priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
  • Perform maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
  • Assist with facility fire and safety inspections and implement safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information

Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.

Collaboration with clinical and administrative departments is expected for facility support.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.

Skills: Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred. Basic computer skills required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
