Job summary

Lifepoint Health's UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking a Maintenance Worker to help maintain safe, functional hospital buildings and systems. You will support daily plant operations and contribute to compliance and facility improvements.

You will report to the Director of Plant Operations, perform repairs and installations, support safety inspections, coordinate with other departments, and help ensure reliable, high‑quality care environments for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or the equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations on facility conditions and progress of assigned tasks.
  • Support the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule work, set priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
  • Perform maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
  • Assist with facility fire and safety inspections and implement safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
