Job summary

MPW Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable Maintenance Welding Technician in Ladson, SC to support maintenance, repair, and fabrication of industrial equipment.

You will read blueprints, select materials, and produce high-quality welds while upholding OSHA safety requirements. You will operate MIG and TIG welders (stainless steel and aluminum), oxy-acetylene and plasma equipment, and collaborate with teammates on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with related coursework required.
• Technical school training or hands-on welding experience preferred.
• 3+ years welding and fabrication experience in equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• MIG/TIG welding certification on stainless steel and aluminum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding repairs on industrial equipment to restore safe operation.
• Fabricate components and tooling to support maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication and repair work.
• Operate MIG and TIG welders for stainless steel and aluminum.
• Operate oxy-acetylene, plasma, and cutting equipment safely.
• Assess repair needs and choose appropriate materials and methods.
• Travel to customer or field sites as required.
• Support safety initiatives and OSHA compliance.
