JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2025 Summer Season.

This is a seasonal position with an immediate start date, and the last day is estimated to be in September 2025.

This position is only available at the Silver Gull Beach Club.

Maintenance Utility

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment in a safe and timely manner when directed by management.
2. Ensure grounds are neat and well maintained using mowers, trimmers, and other appliances as directed.
3. Ensure recycling efforts are consistent, on-time, and handled according to the company’s environmental processes.
4. Ensure all public areas, specifically restrooms, are properly sanitized and cleaned, maintaining adequate stock of supplies.
5. Regularly inspect the grounds and building to identify maintenance needs and report to management.
6. Participate actively in creating a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
7. Respond to requests/complaints to maintain customer service standards, minimizing and solving problems promptly.
8. Work safely, wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment to avoid injuries and accidents.
9. Follow all health, safety, security standards, policies, and initiatives.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personalities.
2. Ability to work various shifts including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
3. Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
4. Physical ability to spend most of the shift on feet, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
5. Availability to work the entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, without time off.
6. Must be at least 16 years old.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent (including high school seniors and juniors). Two years of facility maintenance experience. Knowledge of OSHA safety practices.

Hourly rate: $16.50.
