Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Downingtown, PA, is hiring a maintenance technician to assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment on the night shift, 4:30pm–4:30am. You will learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on training. You’ll participate in programs to build technical skills while keeping a clean, safe work environment and supporting preventative maintenance tasks to maximize uptime.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery on night shift, 4:30pm-4:30am Fuel equipment, put DEF, check speed reducers, change shaker oil etc.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision
• Support preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Participate in training programs to build technical skills and knowledge

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
