Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on basic facility systems, document tasks in the CMMS, and assist in evaluating building system performance.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, technical training, 2-4 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; a valid driver's license and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-call shifts

Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.
• Valid Driver’s License

• 2-4 Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures.
• Intermediate level computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
• Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force.
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions.
• Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards.
• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Recognized community college/tech school trade certificate experience or completion of a recognized community college program.
• Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain.
• 2+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
