Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
Responsible for routine maintenance of electrical systems for district facilities.
Responsible for all repairs to electrical systems as needed.
Responsible for inventory of all equipment and supplies needed for maintenance and repair of these systems.
Inspects district systems on a regular basis to ensure systems are functioning properly.
Reports any damage or other maintenance issues to supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Five years of electrical experience preferred.
Journeyman’s License with Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge of electrical codes.
Proficient in blueprints and schematics.
Proficient with electric water heaters, boilers, and recirculation systems.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Position requires physical demands like lifting and standing.
A valid driver's license and/or a CDL, if driving is required as part of your position description. The District shall be entitled to review your driving record periodically with the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles.
No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.
Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
Exposure to the following environmental conditions including weather, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, vibration, extreme heat, noise, and toxic chemicals.
