Job summary

Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is seeking a Trades Apprentice / Maintenance Repairer 1-2 to assist in the Area Maintenance Department on Pinecrest grounds. This role covers electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing, and related tasks with opportunities for progression.

No prior experience or training is required; the state civil service specifications govern this position, and the department offers a pathway to Maintenance Repairer 1-2 based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of maintenance duties across electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, appliance repair, and related trades.
• Repair and install plumbing fixtures; unstop sewer lines and drains; fix leaks and faucets.
• Repair/replace lighting, ballasts, receptacles, switches, fans, motors, pumps, and related components.
• Repair appliances such as washers, dryers, ice machines, and refrigerators.
• Repair doors, cabinets, windows, and other carpentry items; maintain and repair baseboards and furniture.
• Maintain refrigeration equipment, clean coils, and service air handling units; perform preventive maintenance.
• Keep logs for hot water temperatures, generator service, and fire extinguisher checks.
