Job Summary: AM shift - 3am - 11:30am

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various facility equipment, including air compressors, electrical systems, dust collection systems, HVAC systems, etc. The technician will also maintain and ensure the proper operation of production equipment and related systems, including automated systems and controls, mechanical, and electrical systems. Welding and fabrication experience are required. The Maintenance Technician must report any food safety or quality issues to supervisors or upper management and be able to initiate corrective actions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Implement control strategies as directed.
  2. Repair and operate all facility equipment.
  3. Maintain and repair production equipment.
  4. Install new equipment and document installations.
  5. Document existing systems as required.
  6. Perform HVAC repairs.
  7. Conduct building maintenance, framing, and drywall repairs.
  8. Perform painting, soldering, landscape work.
  9. Operate forklift (preferred).
  10. Be available on-call 24/7.
  11. Comply with GMPs and HARPC regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright, or related trade.
  • Vocational or apprenticeship training can substitute experience.
  • Controls background in automation required.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, installation, and operation required.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of relay ladder logic and PLC programming.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
  • College coursework related to the job preferred.
  • Programming experience in VB or similar languages.
  • Electronics AA or equivalent qualification.
