Job summary

BR Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency responses in our multifamily properties in Indiana. You will manage maintenance requests, coordinate with teams, and ensure units are ready for occupancy following standard timelines.

The role requires EPA certification, a valid driver's license (preferred), and the ability to work on-call. A safety-conscious professional with strong workmanship and customer service will thrive in this

Qualifications

• Technical school, high school diploma, or GED preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• EPA certification required.
• Must have your own basic tools for building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred and reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance activities and update records.
• Provide excellent customer service in addressing maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform maintenance on drywall, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergencies and disasters.
• Complete work orders within set timeframes and prepare vacants within five business days.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC equipment (furnaces/condensers).
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances (stove, refrigerator, etc.).
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws including Fair Housing.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for scheduling and completion of preventative maintenance activities and assist in updating records of those activities.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing all customer requests for maintenance support. This includes timely and responsive resolution to issues.
• Complete maintenance service requests involving drywall, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled, responds to emergency services requests (after-hour emergency calls) and property disasters (fire, floods, freezes, etc.).
• Complete all maintenance work orders within assigned timeframe and make most apartments ready within five (5) business days of vacancy.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC equipment (furnaces and condensers).
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances (Stove, Refrigerator, etc.).
• Comply with local ordinances, state and federal laws, including Fair Housing laws.
