About Large Power Systems Division (LPSD)

We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Hodges, SC facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can complete preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, etc.

What You Will Do (includes But Not Limited To)

  • Carry out preventive maintenance: analyzing and effecting improvements on facilities based on observations made during preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance stops.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance: analyze malfunctions, propose solutions, and execute repairs. Inform supervisors and production of equipment availability post-repair.
  • Record incidents immediately in the CMMS.
  • Assist maintenance agents and external companies on-site as needed.
  • Access technical information and contact external suppliers directly.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the spare parts storeroom.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Mechatronics or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and hazard identification.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Experience working in a foundry (Hodges is a cast iron foundry).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ACAD, E-drawing, QAD, and Llumin.

Additional Information

  • Weekend 1st shift hours are Friday-Sunday, 6AM-6:30PM.
  • Weekend shift is 36 hours but paid for 40 hours.
  • Starting pay is $26-30/hr, depending on experience and education.
  • Benefits start on your first day.
  • This is an on-site position in Hodges, SC.
