Maintenance Technician - Wastewater Facility

Join us as a Maintenance Technician - Wastewater Facility at Veolia HPD Evaporation and Crystallization.

Job Purpose:

Perform maintenance, installation, and repairs in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, carpentry, painting, or vehicle servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, and more.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues, dismantle and repair equipment using various tools, and reassemble to restore optimal operation.
• Perform facility maintenance including replacing light bulbs, repairing glass, painting, and groundskeeping.
• Assist with manual labor tasks and operate vehicles as needed.
• Estimate project costs and assist in other plant areas as directed.

Work Environment:

• Primarily in operational settings, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• May involve travel for training and rotational emergency on-call duties.
• Potential hazards include chemicals, noise, machinery, and temperatures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to use various tools, and operate maintenance software.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Water/wastewater license as required, valid driver’s license, and safety training certifications.
• Additional trade licenses and specialized training may be required based on site needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and in confined spaces.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay range: $25.00 - $28.00/hour. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and more.
