Job summary

TRG Management Company LLLP is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of multiple apartment communities across the United States. The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus EPA or CFC certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on property maintenance experience.
• EPA or CFC certification is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in maintaining the office and property (painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping).
• Hands-on maintenance of the property including inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartment units and common areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance and log findings.
• Respond to on-call emergency service as needed.
• Work with maintenance staff to keep grounds clean and in good repair.
• Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment (water heaters, HVAC, etc.).
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and replace faulty wiring and components.
• Replace faulty electrical components and adjust sensing devices.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands‑on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartment units and other interior/exterior areas.
• Performs various preventative maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.
• Performs on‑call emergency service as required.
• Works along with general maintenance staff in maintaining grounds and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors the maintenance and keep‑up of all mechanical equipment on the community including, but not limited to, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

Candidate Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands‑on property maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs; walk, bend, climb and balance on ladders for extended periods during the day.
• An EPA or CFC certification.
